Adoption and Foster Care
This class is designed to help answer questions and clarify the next steps for anyone who is considering pursuing adoption or foster care. We’ll lean into scripture and prayer as we consider tangible next steps, hear from experts in the field, and get insights from those who’ve gone before us on the journey.
Adoption & Foster Care is a beautiful journey full of many twists and turns. Join this weekly group designed to give families a community of people who are also on the journey. Whether you have toddlers or teens you are welcome! Come join this group on Wednesday nights in room 334 from 6-7pm.
Adult
On the first Sunday of every month, we offer the official Membership Class, an informational session for adults considering membership at Johnson Ferry. This class is an essential part of the membership journey at Johnson Ferry. The next class is September 7 in Room 105 from 10-11:15am.

Adults 60+
Join Bobby Smith, Sarah Blackstone, and Mitch Verdell on Thursday, August 21 at 6pm in the Chapel as they lead an evening of favorite songs of our faith. They will be taking requests, so come with your favorite hymns in mind and bring a friend. Registration is not required.
Join us for a new bible study as we walk through the Minor Prophets! Meetings will begin August 14 at 9:30am in the Magnolia Room on Thursday Mornings.
Batter Up! The Adults 60+ group is heading to Truist Park on Friday, September 12, as the Braves take on the Houston Astros. The buses will depart from the Johnson Ferry North Parking Lot promptly at 5:30pm for the 7:15pm game. Tickets are $39 and are available on a “first come, first served” basis.

Crossroads for Students is a program that has research planning activities for students. The mission is to guide students in developing their career path, exploring their options, and making a connection between career, school, and experience. Prayer Ministry
Come as you are and stay in your car as you stop by Johnson Ferry’s North Parking Lot to pray with an intercessor for any need. Drive Thru Prayer is every third Wednesday of each month from 10:30am – 12:30pm.
Preschool
The Parent Commissioning services are the way our church family publicly recognizes Christian parents, commissioning them to raise their child(ren) in a God-honoring home. Our church family is honored to support you in this way. Parent Commissioning services occur on a periodic basis. Church members, as approved by ministerial staff, are welcome to participate.
The Expectant Parent Ministry supports expectant parents from the time they learn they are having a baby until the family returns to regular engagement in Sunday morning worship. Special Needs
Our special needs ministry, is looking for volunteers for their Sunday and Wednesday programs. On Sunday, there are opportunities during all hours, with the largest need at 10am. On Wednesday, there is one class from 6-8pm.
Students with special needs in Middle and High School are invited to join our Connect Group on Sunday mornings at 10am in room 108! This class features worship, Bible lessons, and a FUN adaptive environment with Buddy support. Sports & Fitness
Apply to be a Head or Assistant Coach for one of our youth sports leagues/programs: baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, girl’s volleyball, flag football, Crossover basketball, travel basketball, and/or Shine Sports (Special Needs). Review your sport of interest at johnsonferry.org/sportsandfitness, or contact the appropriate league/program administrator for evaluation times with which you can help.
We invite you to experience the newest and fastest-growing adult sport—pickleball! It’s a fun sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. We play indoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Registration is required!

Support Groups
For those with loved ones living with cognitive decline, Care Partners provides a safe place where ideas, struggles, and hopes can be shared. This group meets on the third Sunday of the month year-round in Room 200 (Evergreen) from 2-3:30pm. No registration is required.
This is a support group for men with porn or sexual addiction. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
Hope After a Prodigal Loss meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays from 7-8:30pm in Room 337 beginning on August 15. This is a Christ-centered group that provides an anchor in the storm after a stigmatized loss. Registration is not required.
This is an ongoing support group for adults who suffer from depression and/or bipolar disorder and for the people who love them. This group meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays, 7-8:30 p.m. in Room 339. No registration required.
A 13-week seminar/support group for those who are separated or divorced. The class helps individuals cope with the hurt and pain of divorce. This group meets on Wednesdays in the Spring and Fall from 6:15-8pm in Room 339.
GriefShare is a confidential Support Group for those grieving the death of a loved one, whether the loss is new or in the past. Find comfort in being with others who are going through the same hurt and loss. This 13-week curriculum is offered Fall and Spring.
This prayer and sewing group (no skills required) prays for and makes baby quilts for pregnant women on Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 in Room 270/271 beginning August 7th. You will receive a link to register for childcare in your confirmation email upon registering for the group.
A confidential 13-week study for those with an unexpected problem or an unwanted pregnancy. You will make new friends and meet others who are going through similar situations. Every attendee receives a free baby shower. The group starts August 14, and meets on Thursdays from 6-8 with childcare available. Contact [email protected] for more information.

A support group for those with loved ones in same-sex attraction or gender confusion. This group centers on keeping good relational communication without compromising God’s definition of gender and sex. Meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays starting August 7 from 7-8:30 in Room 338. No registration required.
Journey Support Groups are for women whose husbands are in Walking Free, or are struggling with porn or sex addiction, or have had an affair. These are safe, confidential small groups to work through a workbook-driven curriculum, with others facing the same challenges. For more information, email [email protected].
