On the third Sunday of every month, we offer the official Membership Class, an informational session for adults considering membership at Johnson Ferry. This class is an essential part of the membership journey at Johnson Ferry.

Blackaby Ministries presents The Dynamics of Spiritual Leadership Coaching Workshop that offers tools to help you connect with others and learn spiritual coaching skills. A parent/child interactive class that focuses on building musical foundations through the use of songs, rhythm, instruments, and movement. The $25 registration fee includes weekly class and access to the music. For children up to 4 years old, January 23 – March 21, $25 per child.

Learn how to save a life in an emergency when every second is critical. In this class, you will learn Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, how to use an AED unit, and much, much more. CPR & Child Safety Training on March 20 in Room 316 from 4-6pm. Registration is online and costs $30 per person.
Shine
Our special needs ministry, SHINE, is looking for volunteers for their Sunday and Wednesday programs. On Sunday, there are opportunities during all hours, with the largest need at 10am. On Wednesday, there is one class from 6-8pm.
A support group and round table discussion of all things “not typical” for parents of children with special needs. This group meets weekly on Wednesdays in Spring and Fall in Room 200 (The Evergreen Conference Room).
Apply to be a Buddy for SHINE Basketball, our league for participants with special needs. SHINE Sports Buddies are individuals (adults and students) who work one-on-one, shadowing a child during our SHINE Basketball games. Sports & Fitness
Apply to be a Head or Assistant Coach for one of our youth sports leagues/programs: baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, girl’s volleyball, flag football, Crossover Basketball, travel basketball, and/or Shine Sports (special needs). Review your sport of interest at johnsonferry.org/sportsandfitness, or contact the appropriate league/program administrator for evaluation times with which you can help.
Support Groups
If you or someone you love is suffering from chronic pain or illness, we have a support group that can help. This group meets Mondays from 6:30-8:30pm for a 10-week workbook-based curriculum of learning and sharing. This is also a good group for caregivers of those suffering from chronic pain or illness.
This is a support group for those raising a child or children on their own. The language spoken in this group is Chinese. This group meets on Wednesday evenings in both the Spring and Fall.

Parents of Prodigals is a support group for parents whose children have turned away from them or God. This group meets in both the Spring and Fall on the Second and Fourth Thursdays of the month from 7-8:30pm in Room 108. | No registration is required
Hearts of Hope is a support group for those with loved ones who have same-sex attraction or gender confusion. This group meets monthly on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 7-8:30pm in both the Spring and Fall. | No registration is required
GriefShare is a support group for those who have lost a loved one through death. Find comfort in being with others who are going through the same hurt and loss. This 13-week curriculum is offered Fall and Spring.
Embrace Grace is for women experiencing an unexpected pregnancy. It’s normal to feel lost and alone, and we can help. This leader-trained, 12-week group meets on Thursdays in the Spring and Fall from 6:30-8:30pm | No registration is required
A 13-week seminar/support group for children aged 5-12 whose parents are separated or divorced. This group meets on Wednesdays in the Spring and Fall from 6:15-8pm at the same time as the adult group.
A 13-week seminar/support group for those who are separated or divorced. The class helps individuals cope with the hurt and pain of divorce. This group meets on Wednesdays in the Spring and Fall from 6:15-8pm in Room 339.
This is an ongoing support group for those who suffer from depression and/or bipolar disorder and for the people who love them. This group meets monthly on the first and third Thursdays year-round.

For those with loved ones living with cognitive decline, Care Partners provides a safe place where ideas, struggles, and hopes can be shared. This group meets monthly on the third Sunday of the month year-round. | No registration is required.
This is a support group for men with porn or sexual addiction. Please contact [email protected] for more information.
This support group empowers widows who have been through GriefShare or who have done other grief therapy. Widow Strong is a 26-week curriculum divided into two 13-week seasons (Spring and Fall) and meets on Wednesdays from 6:30-8pm. Preschool childcare and other children’s activities are available.
WWMC is an ongoing support group for women whose loved ones have served or are serving in the military. This group meets monthly on the second Tuesday from 7-9pm off-site during the school year. | No registration is required.
Step-by-step, this online class guides people in finding a job if they are unemployed, anticipating a career transition, or unfulfilled in their present job. Sponsored by North Atlanta Crossroads, the Crash Course for Career Transition is based on the “7-Step Workbook” developed by Crossroads Career Network. Registration is required.
