We are getting closer to our trip, and our team couldn’t be more excited! Below is some helpful information about what we covered in our training this past Sunday:
Student Leader Devotion
One of our student leaders, Reese Jastrzembski, led the way by teaching the importance of repentance. She made the point that repentance is more than apologizing to God; it is a recognition of wrong and a turning away from it. She encouraged her peers to live a life of repentance and shared three ways to see a change in their lives.
- Go and sin no more. (John 8:1-11)
- Rejoice. (Mark 2:1-12)
- Tell Everyone (John 4:1-42)
Questions for family discussion:
- Why do we struggle with repentance? What are some things that we need to repent of as a family?
- Read John 8:1-11 as a family and have a discussion around the story. Answer the questions below.
- What do you learn about people or others?
- What do you learn about Jesus, God, or the Holy Spirit?
- Why does Jesus say, “Go and sin no more”?
- Why do we continue to struggle with sin?
Parent Meeting
Our next training is really important! We are hosting our parent meeting and would love for each of you to join. You will hear all about the details of the trip, including flight lists, flight information, departure plans, etc. You will also be turning in final payments, all forms, and passports. This meeting is VERY IMPORTANT! Please make plans to join us at 4:30pm in the High School Room. Training for students will follow from 6-8pm.
