DR 2026 | Day 6

Today was our last day of ministry, but as we say around here… last day best day!

Your students had an incredible day! They were really ready to enjoy every moment and take every opportunity to share the Gospel, and that’s exactly what they did! We were back at it with sports, VBS, construction, orphanage ministry, and door-to-door evangelism. Students had the opportunity to share both their testimony and the gospel clearly. One cool God story: there was a Johnson Ferry Student who went out into the community for sports today. She was really engaged and even made a quick friend, a little Dominican boy. She pulled a translator over to her conversation and asked if she could share the gospel with him. The translator couldn’t believe it — he said of course!! Through the translator, this student shared her story and the four bracelets with this young boy. She asked him if he wanted to receive Christ, and he said yes! She led him in the salvation prayer, and this little boy began a relationship with Jesus! Come to find out, this girl had just given her life to Christ the night before during her family group time. This was her first time sharing the gospel in a way that wasn’t just facts about Jesus. She was speaking from experience because now she had a personal relationship with Him! Praise God!

We ended the night with worship and had a sweet time of prayer. Courtney challenged the students to think about the one thing they need to surrender when they get back home — and then to go tell someone and pray about it. Leaders were stationed all around the room, and you could hear a choir of prayers ringing out to end our worship time. It was really special.

We are excited to go to the beach tomorrow. We cannot wait for you to hear all the stories of God’s goodness!
