Good morning parents! We wanted to give you an update about how we are doing down here in the Dominican Republic!
First of all, we had a pretty long but smoother travel day on Saturday. In fact, the airline stopped some of our leaders just to say how kind and patient our students were. We were so proud! Once we got off our planes, got our luggage, and headed to camp, we were SO excited to be in the Dominican Republic.
Our first night was really special. We had a prayer service focused on centering our hearts for the trip and praying over our ministry sites. Then, we went to sleep, ready for the next day!!
Yesterday was Easter Sunday, and we had an amazing time of worship! Pastor Dylan taught about Jesus calling Mary Magdalene by name at the empty tomb, and he challenged the students: Do they believe Jesus is really who he says he is? Is He worthy of their lives? He kicked off our series in the best way!
Then, students participated in the “Amazing Family Group Race,” where they competed in challenges, bonded, and made silly memories along the way. The winners were Adam Bush’s family group, and they got to eat dinner first!
We ended our night with a night of worship. It was so encouraging and beautiful to hear students lifting praises to God. They were hungry for God to move and expectant for the day of ministry today!!
Would you pray:
⁃ safety today during ministry
⁃ For students to be bold in sharing the gospel
⁃ That God would hold off the rain!
We will catch you up on our first ministry day soon!
