VBS Highlight: Waymark Foster
The VBS Missions Offering this year benefited Waymark Foster, a local organization that supports youth in Georgia’s foster care system as they prepare for adulthood. Over the course of the week, over $5300 was raised to help provide retreats, camps, and birthday parties for children and teens in foster care. Waymark is a wonderful partner for our ministry, and we are so grateful for the support provided through VBS. Check out waymarkfoster.org to learn more!

Care Communities are designed to show God’s love to JF Families engaged in adoption and/or fostering by providing tangible support and care on a consistent basis. There are a variety of roles and opportunities within each Care Community. Register here to learn more.

Educational Support for Adoptive Children Attending JFCA
We are seeking to build a support team to provide tutoring, encouragement, and mentorship to adoptive children who attend Johnson Ferry Christian Academy and require additional support outside the classroom on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  If you or someone you know might be a good fit for this opportunity, please contact [email protected] for more information.

This group is designed to provide a community of encouragement and support for parents, family members, and other advocates involved in adoption or foster care. Whether you’re adopting/fostering now, have done so in the past, or are in a support role for adoptive or foster families, you’re invited to join us!

Intro to Adoption & Foster Care Class
Scheduled for Wednesdays beginning in September, this class is designed to help answer questions and clarify the next steps for anyone who is considering pursuing adoption or foster care. We’ll lean into scripture and prayer as we consider tangible next steps, hear from experts in the field, and get insights from those who’ve gone before us on the journey.
