Adoption & Foster Care Ministry is growing rapidly at Johnson Ferry, and we are excited to share some upcoming opportunities and events that you’ll want to be a part of!

Hope for the Journey: Equipping Adoptive & Foster Families – April & May
Join us for proven, practical teaching and insight, as well as everyday, hopeful wisdom! Hope for the Journey Conference seeks to encourage and better equip parents and caregivers to meet the everyday needs of children impacted by adoption and/or foster care. Whether you are part of an adoptive or foster family or serve children who are impacted by adoption or fostering, you will find great value in joining us on Wednesdays at 6pm beginning April 10 as we experience the 2024 Hope for the Journey Conference, split into five sessions over five weeks (April 10 & 17, May 1, 8, & 15). No cost. Free childcare is available with advance registration.

ANNOUNCING Adoption & Foster Care Communities!
JF Care Communities are designed to provide tangible care, support, and encouragement to families engaged in fostering and adoption. We’ll be having a Care Communities Lunch & Learn on Sunday, May 5 at 11:30am in Room 105 for anyone interested in learning more about this ministry. Please make plans to join us and find out how you can utilize the gifts and talents the Lord has blessed you with to serve these families! Lunch will be provided. RSVP HERE to let us know you’re coming.

Please note: Sunday groups are available during the 11:30 hour for birth through 5th grade. If your child normally attends a different hour but needs to switch for this Sunday, please email [email protected] (Preschool) or [email protected] (Elementary) to make that adjustment.

COMING THIS FALL: Intro to Adoption & Foster Care Class
Scheduled for Wednesdays beginning in August, this class is designed to help answer questions and clarify the next steps for anyone who is considering pursuing adoption or foster care. We’ll lean into scripture and prayer as we consider tangible next steps, hear from experts in the field, and get insights from those who’ve gone before us on the journey. Details are still being finalized. Submit your info, and we’ll send you all the information!
