The secret sauce of our student ministry! Life Groups are designed to give students community and connection while growing in their knowledge of God’s word. Each group has 10 to 12 students with an adult leader who has committed to walk alongside them for their entire High School journey. Join us at 10am in the High School Room to have your student placed in a Life Group!

We believe that corporate worship is so important! Each week, the entire student ministry “packs the house” at the 11:30am Modern worship service. We want to encourage your student to join us in the student section on the front left side of the Activities Center.

Midweek is our weekly gathering, during the school year, for high school students on Wednesday nights at 7pm. Students will have the opportunity to unplug from the week, serve others, and grow spiritually. We worship together, create deeper friendships, and engage in a teaching from Scripture.

We have so many ways for parents and young adults to be a part of what God is doing in student ministry! These students aren’t the future of the church…they are the church! High School Choir gathers each week to build community as we sing together and infuse our lives with true words. Our rehearsals consist of student-led devotionals, learning new worship songs together, and building community with a family-like atmosphere that allows students to find truth, belonging, and purpose in Jesus. In the spring, we prepare for the High School Choir tour, a way for our students to experience the power of worship in the mission field. We partner with local church planters and mission partners to serve during school breaks and celebrate the good news of the gospel through music. Our High School Choir travels the first week of June and rotates between New York City and Tarnow, Poland. These trips include block parties, concerts, and serving in whatever way is beneficial to our ministry partners in sharing Jesus with their city. Contact our Student Worship Team.

Get ready for the biggest, craziest, and most awesome weekend of your life! ONE WKND, hosted by Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, is an in-town weekend retreat November 6-9 where students in grades 6-12 stay in the home of a church member with some of their closest friends, study the Bible with guest leaders and enjoy amazing worship sessions at the church.
