Our mission trip is officially underway!

On Saturday, we loaded up the buses and headed to Orlando. After a necessary stop at Buc-ee’s (where a few too many snacks were bought), we made it safely to Florida. We were welcomed by a storm as we unloaded, but not even the rain could dampen the excitement! We spent the evening sharing dinner together before kicking off the week with group time that included some energetic Just Dance battles and ended with a meaningful prayer service as we prayed over the week ahead.

Today (Sunday) was a great first full day in Orlando. Our students had the opportunity to worship at different church plants around the city, giving them a unique glimpse into how God is working through local churches in the area. After lunch, we headed to our community block party, and God graciously held off the rain, giving us a beautiful afternoon to welcome and connect with families in the neighborhood. We wrapped up the evening at Disney Springs, where our family groups enjoyed dinner and time together.

As we begin our week of ministry through VBS and other ministry sites, please be praying that God would work in and through our students, open hearts to the Gospel, and continue to strengthen our team as we serve together.
