Preschool

Welcome to the Preschool Ministry of Johnson Ferry. It is our hope that your preschooler will enjoy getting involved in the activities listed below and will make new friends in the process. Our activities are biblically based, age-appropriate and child friendly. Our teachers are trained in the use of each curriculum and are carefully screened before they teach any child.

Your preschooler is important to you and to Johnson Ferry.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday School classes are offered for babies through kindergarten at all three hours: 8:30, 9:50, and 11:15 a.m. Through our classes, preschoolers begin to learn about Jesus and His wonderful love for them. These classes are planned developmentally for each age.

Upside Down Worship

Can preschoolers worship? Absolutely! Our Upside Down Worship program features LIL’K , an interactive media-based resource which includes both small and large group participation in a safe environment. Children from 3 and 4 year old classes participate in this program during the 9:50 hour.

Children's Worship

Kindergarteners can choose to attend children's worship at the 9:50 hour with other young elementary-aged children. Noise is a kid-friendly, Bible-based, and age-appropriate environment where children learn about God through worship, Bible lessons, object lessons, and drama. Please make sure your child's Sunday school teacher is aware that your kindergartner would like to attend Noise.

Parent Commissioning

This special service is for parents who are attending Johnson Ferry to commit to raise their child in a Christian home. In order to participate, you must reserve a spot. We encourage you to do this as early as possible, as our time slots fill-up very quickly. Parent Commissioning Services take place at both the 9:50 and 11:15 a.m. hours and alternate between Activities Center and Sanctuary venues. To indicate your desire to participate in this special service, please contact the Preschool Ministry office.

Wednesdays

Mission Friends

It is never too young to learn about missions.  This program helps 3, 4, and 5 year olds begin to learn about God and become one of His “helpers” here on earth.  Meets Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. for the 3 year olds and 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. for the 4 and 5 year olds. Childcare is offered for children whose parents are involved in adult activities on Wednesday nights. Childcare for children under three is from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Three years and older may also register for childcare from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. All children must pre-register for childcare.
Check out our new Mission Friends page!

Children's Choirs

Our fully graded choirs are staffed by talented creative leaders who are committed to sharing God's love with every child as we model for them the praise and worship of God through His gift of music. Your child will learn basics of music including movement, instruments, singing skills, scripture, Bible stories and music fundamentals.
