Frequently Asked Questions

Getting to the Church

Johnson Ferry is located at 955 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta. The church is north of the Lower Roswell Road intersection and before Woodlawn Drive. (Click here for map and driving directions.)

  • Where Do I Park?
  • We reserve parking for first time visitors in the north parking lot, right outside the Sanctuary. Just look for the signs, or ask a parking volunteer or uniformed officer for assistance. In the event all guest spaces are full, use our shuttle service, which runs from north of the church at Chick-Fil-A. Or ParkSmart across the street from the Sanctuary at the Crossings Center Office Park and traffic officers will guide you safely across Johnson Ferry Road.

  • How Do I Dress?
  • Dress comfortably. While some attendees do wear their "Sunday best," most folks wear casual and comfortable clothes on Sunday morning. Don't worry about what you wear--just come prepared to have a wonderful time of worship and fellowship!

  • What Do I Bring?
  • A Bible will help you to follow along in worship and in Bible Study. If you have a Bible, bring it with you to church. Our Pastor, Bryant Wright, refers to the Bible often during his messages. If you don't have a Bible, or forgot to bring your Bible, Bibles are available in the Sanctuary pews.

  • When Do I Need To Arrive?
  • Sunday services begin at 8:30, 9:50, 10:00, 11:20 and 11:30 a.m. Sunday Bible Study hours are at 8:30, 10:00, and 11:30 a.m. (See our complete schedule). Arrive fifteen minutes before your desired worship/Bible study time to allow for parking traffic.

  • Where Do My Children Go?
  • Johnson Ferry has excellent preschool and children's ministries. Greeters are just inside our entrances fifteen minutes before every service and our Redcoat volunteers will assist you in getting your children to their class or department. We offer preschool childcare from bed babies through 5 years. Your children (grades 1-3) won't want to miss Kids Church (held simultaneously with our 10:00 a.m. Sunday service--see our schedule for details). Sunday Bible Study classes are offered for all ages.

  • What About Child Security?
  • We take child security seriously at JFBC. Each child must be registered at either the Preschool Welcome Desk or the Children's Ministry office before entering a Sunday School class. A security slip is given to the parent and must be presented at departure. Additional security measures and personnel are on campus to ensure the safety of every attendee.
