Join us for our annual Veterans appreciation event, a Veterans' All American Parade and Lunch, Wednesday, November 11, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. All active duty, veterans and retired military are complimentary. $5 per person for non-military guests. Registration is required.
Attention Military Guests / Parade Participants: Enter through the NORTH parking lot entrance off Woodlawn (close to Montrose Animal Hospital) at 10:30 a.m. The parade will kick off at 11 a.m. and will route through the JF parking lot in front of the Sanctuary and Chapel ending at the fields. Volunteers and flaggers will direct traffic and flow along the parade route. Enjoy your "All American" boxed lunch with hot dogs, chips, and the fixins while listening to Chaplain (Colonel) Samuel S. Lee UNC/CFC/USFK Command Chaplain share an inspirational message to encourage and acknowledge the Veterans of Johnson Ferry.
Attention Parade Supporters / Spectators: Enter from Woodlawn and park in the SOUTH parking lot. You may position yourself at either of these available stations along the parade route: 1.) In front of the Sanctuary / Chapel facing Johnson Ferry Road, 2) in the far SOUTH lot between the playground and the roundabout, or, 3:) at the roundabout separating the South lot from the Field parking lot. After the parade processional has passed, please drive your vehicles to the FIELD lot and park, as directed, by the parking attendants. If you register for an All American Boxed lunch, volunteers will bring your lunch to you once your vehicle is parked at the FIELD Lot.
To keep this event COVID-friendly, guests will not be asked to exit their vehicles. Your lunch and other program related materials will be distributed by volunteers along the parade route. All COVID precautions will be followed by the volunteers. The speaker's message will be broadcast via FM radio signal to each vehicle.
