Be one of many talented individuals who add to the worship experience through instrumental music. Opportunities include a 50-piece orchestra, youth orchestra, jazz band, and handbell teams.
Lead the congregation in praise and worship by playing an instrument in the JF Orchestra! Weekly rehearsals are Wednesdays, 7-8:45 p.m. in the Orchestra Rehearsal Room (303/305). The group is open to adults and advanced high school students. The orchestra plays in the Majestic services and for all major productions, including the Christmas Festival, An American Celebration, and Pops Concert in the Park.
Share your musical gifts during performances in the fall, spring, and Christmas Eve. High school students rehearse four consecutive weeks on Sunday evenings prior to performance dates.
Bring the music of trumpets, trombones, and saxophones to the Majestic worship service 7-8 times a year and perform at the Magnolia Ball and Big Band Concert in the Park. Open to adults and advanced high school students. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m.
Use a five-octave set of Schulmerich handbells and a three-octave set of Malmark handchimes to provide a unique worship experience. Group meets Mondays at 6 p.m. Openings are filled by interview.
