Calendar

Fall semester

Registration opens on July 1st.  The Fall semester is 16 weeks. It begins Monday August 19th, (always one full calendar week following the Cobb County school start), and ends December 14th.  The following week in December is set aside for make-up lessons.

We only break for Labor Day,  and Tuesday through Friday of Thanksgiving week. All other days, including Cobb County teacher work days, etc. are considered regular lesson days.

Spring Semester

The Spring semester is also 16 weeks. It begins on January 14 and goes through May 11. Make up week is May 13-18. We only break for Cobb County Spring break, April 8th - 14th.

Summer Semester

begins the day after Memorial Day, (but jump in anytime), and is an 8 week session with a little more flexibility for pre-planned out of town trips and camps communicated to your teacher. Registration opens on May 1st, but feel free to call or email with questions.  Most teachers will teach through August 3rd.  We ask that students commit to either 4, 6, or 8 hours of class over the summer.

If the teacher cannot be reached, the student should notify the Conservatory office. Any lesson missed or cancelled due to the instructor is the responsibility of the instructor to make up. Make-up lessons are only granted for an absence in which the Instructor is notified  at least six hours prior to the lesson time. An excused absence is: a) student illness or b) extreme emergency,or c) death in the family. (This does not include sports, school, church activities, etc.) Only one make-up lesson per semester will be granted. No lessons will be made up if they are missed due to late payments (the student will be charged a full semester fee).

The student will be financially responsible for lessons that occur within the 30 days from the date notice is given, and a refund will be given for the balance of the semester.
