We all remember the stories that started… “When I was a kid…,” followed by the description of how hard life used to be compared to now. In some respects that is true; however, with the so called “easy life” comes a lot of pressure. Children these days are often pushed to grow up way before their time. There is pressure to perform academically, socially and athletically that has the potential of creating anxiety and a variety of other issues. Simply put, it’s not as easy being a kid as it used to be. If the pressure of life seems to be taking a toll on your child’s wellbeing, don’t be afraid to ask for assistance because let’s face it, there is nothing simple about parenting children!
