Abortion Recovery

According to the Guttmacher Institute, in the year 2005 alone, 1.2 million American women obtained abortions.  93% of those abortions occur as the result of an unwanted pregnancy.  Even though abortions are believed to be medically safe, the emotional scars are devastating, yet unrecognized.  Each of those 1.2 million women who aborted a child in 2005 carries with her an emotional scar that will dramatically affect her life.  Often the shame associated with abortion causes people to bury the pain with the intention of forgetting about it and moving on.  Unfortunately, emotional and spiritual pain that is unresolved eventually begins to spread poison throughout our system causing physical, emotional and spiritual difficulties.

If you or someone you know and love has had an abortion, please know that Christ’s sacrifice covers every wrong.  You don’t need to fear judgment or rejection.  Instead, you’ll find grace and acceptance.  It’s never too late to heal the wounds of the past.
