Footsteps is a four-step partnership between parents and church, helping children begin their spiritual journey in the family of God. This program occurs four times each year and is geared for children in grades 1-5.
Step One
- Attend a scheduled salvation presentation. Salvation presentations are held each quarter on Sunday afternoon starting at 12:30 p.m. in the Matchbox.
- After the presentation, you will register for the remaining steps of the program and receive some parent/child homework to complete on your own.
Step Two
- When a salvation decision is made, schedule a child/parent counseling session with a staff ministry leader.
Step Three
- Children's Baptism Celebration—held once a quarter at 2:30 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon in the Chapel. This Celebration will take place approximately three weeks after Step One. A celebration reception will immediately follow.
- Sanctuary Baptism is also an option. Please speak with a Children's Ministry staff member if interested.
Step Four
- Following baptism, each child will attend two spiritual growth classes on consecutive Sunday mornings during the Bible Study hour. This will complete their membership process.
