“No one told me it would be this difficult.”  Most of us who marry don’t realize how much work it takes to have a strong, healthy marriage.  Sometimes we avoid conflict or approach it in ways that are ineffective and harmful to the relationship.  The wounds deepen.  Resentment builds.  And before you know it, you’re wondering if you really love your spouse and why you even married him or her.  

This is an all-too-common description of marriages today.  If you identify with what you’ve just read, we encourage you to take action today.  Left untreated, those wounds will fester and infuse poison into your relationship.  When conflict has gone unresolved, or you’ve “lost that loving feeling,” seek professional help.  Your marriage is your most valuable possession – protect and preserve it.
