Addictions

Addiction is a powerful force that robs individuals of their freedom to live life as God intended.  They range in severity from mild to life-threatening.  Some addictions are socially-acceptable, rewarded behaviors that are not seen as destructive.  Addiction is an unhealthy attachment to behaviors, things or people.  These attachments become preoccupations and eventually come to rule our lives.  While the tendency toward addictions exists in every human heart, these attachments can also lead us into a deeper understanding and awareness of God’s grace and mercy as we find in Him the power to overcome addictions.
