The Wee School

Creative Preschool and MMO Program

The Wee School offers a weekday program that combines the highest standards in early childhood education with a Christian environment filled with love and support. We believe in the teaching of the "whole child". It is our philosophy that the spiritual, social, emotional, physical and intellectual well being of each child should be encouraged and balanced. We encourage each child to participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities that include opportunities to socialize, investigate, play and express themselves independently as well as cooperatively in small groups.

Our school is Bible-based and we use the Wee Learn Curriculum in addition to a variety of other learning materials.  We have a staff of loving, Christian ladies who will "Share the love of Jesus..." with your children.

The Wee School is open August through May each year.

We accept registrations from children who range from 9-months-old (as of Sept 1 of the current school year) to 4-year-olds.  We offer a variety of class options.  Rates and class information is available through the school office.

All children enrolled must supply an up-to-date Immunization Form (GA Form 3231).

*We are not equipped to care for the special needs of physically and/or mentally challenged children.

Our Classes

Our students are divided into age groups based on their age on September 1st of the current school year. The Wee School teacher-to-student ratios range from 1:4 in our younger toddler classes to 1:8 in our 4-year-old classes.  There are always two staff members in every classroom.

Our 4-year-old classes will work on the Emergent Literacy skills (the foundation for reading and writing) that will equip them for kindergarten.  In addition, the 4-year-olds are introduced to computers and they have a special "Chapel Time" and "Art Class" each week.  Our 4-year-old classes participate in our annual musical Christmas Program and they have a special  Graduation Ceremony & Reception at the end of the school year.

Our Staff

The Wee School staff employment candidates go through an in depth hiring process.  We use the Safe Harbor Application & Child Protection Policy that includes a background check on each applicant. The staff has First Aid training and is certified in CPR on an annual basis.  Staff development and training are ongoing throughout the school year. The Lead Teachers in our 4-year-old classes have their degrees in Education.

Our Facility

Our classrooms are large and are fully equipped.  There are water fountains, sinks and toilets in all the necessary classrooms.  The classrooms are cleaned after every use.  We are excited to have the indoor play area in addition to the gymnasium in the church building available for our use. We have a radio/communication system throughout our preschool classrooms.
